Lucy’s back – work experience take 2!

My time at Mzuri last summer was so fun and valuable that I came back for more!!

Now midway through my A-levels and beginning the long process of applying to universities, I am now, more than ever, having to think about my future and career aspirations. Work experience at Mzuri last time was so helpful in finding out what aspects of marketing I was interested in, but I felt I’d only scratched the surface and wanted to know even more!

This time, I did two weeks with the team starting on the 26th July. While at Mzuri, I was able to experience more branches of marketing and design than I knew existed! I researched specific sectors to help Mzuri target their direct mail marketing activity. This also involved me coming up with a few ideas and designs for the direct mail campaign, giving me a taste of campaign planning and design. I was also given the opportunity to try my hand at branding and spent a day designing a logo based on a brief from a company.

I’m still as sure as ever that marketing is the route I wish to pursue in the business world and can’t thank Katherine and the team at Mzuri enough for having me back and helping me understand what it is they do.

I’ve had so much fun at Mzuri these last couple of weeks and hope I’ll be able to return again before long!
