Tech recycle – Donating to Jamie’s Computers

We’ve had a spring clean at Mzuri and we’re feeling as fresh as a daisy!  It was time for a declutter and some decommissioning… 

in the process we’ve discovered all the things we’d long forgotten about but we’ve realised our loss is someone’s gain.

Like many of us nowadays we’ve never seemed to get round to throwing out our old technology when we’ve replaced it with the latest model, so our loft room was full to the rafters. We decided it was time to recycle and reuse and we’ve found just the guys to help us out!

Jamie’s Computers in Southampton are more than just a computer recycling facility. Jamie’s offers IT disposal for businesses and individuals who refurbish as much of their donated collectables as possible, creating training, retail and volunteering opportunities for adults in the Southampton area who may be otherwise unable to find employment, apprenticeships or who are socially excluded for whatever reason.

Mzuri would like to thank Jamie’s for this opportunity to donate to a local good cause, and we’re doubly delighted that they were able to collect our cluster of old computers. What a service! If you’d like to donate or find out more about Jamie’s, here’s their website.
