{"id":7071,"date":"2019-07-11T11:19:29","date_gmt":"2019-07-11T10:19:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mzuri.co.uk\/news\/?p=7071"},"modified":"2019-07-11T11:19:37","modified_gmt":"2019-07-11T10:19:37","slug":"introducing-playdates-doggy-daycare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mzuri.co.uk\/news\/general\/introducing-playdates-doggy-daycare\/","title":{"rendered":"Introducing Playdates Doggy Daycare"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We are big fans of our four-legged friends at Mzuri, so we\nwere delighted to work on developing a brand for new start-up Playdates Doggy Daycare,\nbased in Haslemere, Surrey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A long-term ambition of owner Sarah, Playdates Doggy Daycare\nfocuses on giving your dogs a safe and fun place to stay and play while you\nwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Developing a brand with personality<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The owner had a clear idea that she would like the \u2018fun\u2019 and\n\u2018playful\u2019 side of dogs to come through in the brand, along with a taste of the\ncountryside. For designer Tatum this meant she could get back to pencil and\npaper and start doodling a variety of dog breads, from faces, whole bodies to\ntheir happy, wagging tails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We wanted to show that all dogs are welcome at this daycare, from the tiny, to the large. Selecting from a number of initial concepts, the identity with the three dogs heads featured soon became the favoured option. To reflect the rolling hills of surrey, the green arch was added and a relaxed font was chosen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We always envisaged that vibrant use of colour would help sell\nthe playfulness, so we developed a bright and fun colour palette for the brand,\nselecting colours for the featured dogs that were reflective of their breeds\nand worked well with the illustrative style. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Taking the brand to the next steps<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We then developed a stationery suite, continuing with the\nplayful approach and creating letterhead and a set of business cards that\ncomprised three different versions of the front of the card, featuring the\nthree dogs from the logo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The flexibility and fun built in to this brand ensures it\nworks well across social media, website and can continue to be developed across\nsignage, uniform, promotional items and livery as required in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Learn more about Playdates Doggy Daycare and see the brand\nin action on <a href=\"https:\/\/dogplaydates.co.uk\/\">their website<\/a>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We love dogs and we love creating playful brands\u2026 so this project was a match made in heaven.
