A fond farewell and bon voyage to the lovely Imogen

Mixed emotions in the Mzuri team as we bid a fond farewell and bon voyage to our lovely Marketing Assistant, Imogen Wright as she sets off on her travels and then on to University.

8 months of marketing experience at Mzuri

Following our move to Bordon last Summer, Mzuri was very busy and in need of someone to give us a helping hand with tasks such as social media marketing, admin, blog writing, communication and more. A mutual connection mentioned Imogen, who was enthusiastic about marketing, had great writing skills, lots of customer service experience and was going on to study marketing at University after a gap year. On meeting Imogen, we hit it off immediately and since then, she has been a huge help working on a range of different projects as our Marketing Assistant.

Taking time to travel before studying Marketing at Uni

Although we are sad to see her leave, we are excited that adventure awaits, as Imogen is leaving us to travel to Nepal, Pokhara, and take part in a 3-month Women Empowerment course where she will teach English, Maths and help support women along with other various travelling opportunities. We know Imogen will shine in this role, as she is caring, compassionate and has an infectious, bubbly personality.

Following this, she is moving on to fulfil her studies at The University of Liverpool to complete a 4-year marketing course, and we wish her all the very best and know she will do well.

So, what was it like working at Mzuri?

Imogen had this to say about her time at Mzuri, “It has been an absolute pleasure to work with the friendly and hard-working Mzuri Team. I am extremely grateful to have received this opportunity that has enabled me to learn new skills, industry knowledge and given me experiences that will aid me well in both my University marketing course and future career. I will forever appreciate being able to work with such a welcoming, knowledgeable and dedicated team of people who have introduced me to the world of marketing and supported me through this period of time. I truly am sad to be leaving such a fab environment full of great people.”

Katherine Bolton, Managing Director of Mzuri, reflected on Imogen’s time at Mzuri saying;

“Our connection came about from a chance conversation with a friend over coffee and we were delighted to meet Imogen and welcome her to the team at Mzuri. Initially joining us to provide temporary support following our office move, Imogen soon hit her stride and worked really hard to learn as much as possible about agency life. She has embraced the wide variety of tasks and projects she has worked on and has made a really positive impact at Mzuri, so much so that we asked her to stay until she left for Nepal. Not only has she been a huge help at a busy time, she has grown and developed across her time here, and been an absolute pleasure to work with. We will miss her, but are so excited for everything the future has to hold and look forward to hearing all about it!”
