Supporting Treloar School and College’s Golf Day

The team at Mzuri are pleased to have supported Treloar School and College’s recent Annual Charity Golf Day at Old Thorns Golf Club, Liphook, on 28 September, which raised an amazing £4500 to support this fantastic school.

Supporting Treloar School and College, Alton, Hampshire

Treloar School and College in Alton, Hampshire, was founded in 1907 and provides education, care, therapy, medical support and independence training to young people with physical disabilities from all over the UK and overseas. Their aim is to prepare these young people for adult life, giving them the confidence and skills to achieve their full potential.

Amy Bennet, the community and events fundraiser, said “The Treloar’s Annual Golf Day is a really important event in our fundraising calendar, especially more so this year with it being our first event to take place after the lifting of government restrictions.

COVID-19 has caused a huge hit to the economy, so having the support of local businesses means a lot to us. Your support really did make a huge difference in the amount of money we were able to raise and enable us to continue working towards allowing our children and young people to achieve their full potential.”

The fun-filled day began with a hearty breakfast of bacon rolls and coffee to kick start the golfers, followed by an exciting day of golf with a meal, raffle and auction to end the day.

With Covid-19 causing so much disruption to our lives this past year, it was great to see vital charity events taking place once again.

Managing Director, Katherine, commented on the decision to support Treloar’s Golf Day:

“Helping children unlock their full potential, especially when faced with the additional challenges that learning or physical disabilities bring, is something very close to our hearts at Mzuri.

Treloar’s set the gold standard for creating a positive, enriching experience for all their students, enabling them to experience all types of learning and to flourish as individuals, and we are really proud to have supported the work they have done”.
