Press Page Development for Edward Cooke Family Law

All websites should evolve over time and Edward Cooke Family Law is a perfect example of that as we celebrate the launch of the latest development – their press page.

Designing and realising websites in planned phases

Almost without exception when we start scoping out a website development with a client, we arrive at a Phase I and Phase II (and sometimes Phase III) list of priorities and ideas for the site.

Sometimes a client has a defined budget which we need to work carefully to achieve best value from. Other times the developments are always planned but not appropriate or desired until a website – or business – has been running for a period of time. Often, clients just wish to take a stepped approach to enable them the appropriate headspace to tackle each new development and idea in turn and in focus, whilst they juggle the other demands of their day to day.

There are a whole host of reasons why it can be preferable or even essential to develop sites in phases, and of course the work of website development is never done, whether adding new content or adjusting sites to the latest best practice requirements for optimal UX and SEO.

At Mzuri, once the Phase I site is developed and built and starting to realise its investment for the client, we then revisit those Phase II and III ideas as part of our ongoing commitment to nurturing and evolving a clients’ online presence.

Edward Cooke Family Law: An evolving website

A great example of an evolving website is Edward Cooke Family Law. We started working with Edward Cooke in 2018, across branding, stationery and digital projects and established a strong initial website to support the launch of the company in 2018.

From there, the site has evolved to best fit this rapidly growing, niche family law firm with offices in Chilgrove and Brighton. Most recently, we have been pleased to be tasked with building a home for the impressive press coverage the firm have built up in their first three years of business.

Building a Press Page for Edward Cooke Family Law

As part of our ongoing support of Edward and the team, the press page development emerged as a way to showcase the active role the firm play not only in providing the very best approach to family law matters, but also in the wider access to justice in West Sussex and beyond.

The new press page houses an archive of the firm’s press coverage and is designed with a clean and clear layout that engages the user and provides a bird’s eye view of topics and press coverage, and which enables users to explore those items of interest in more detail. With an individual page for each story, linking through to the original source of the post or article, including a download where appropriate, users can explore some or all of the press coverage with ease.

Press logo strip and link through to press page for Edward Cooke Family Law

The local and national press coverage is represented in its simplest form by a new press logo strip on the home page, allowing visitors from the home to get a sense of the stature of the firm, and an opportunity to explore further by visiting the press page from this section. As part of this development, the main navigation was also tweaked to update the structure and create a new user journey with a growing ‘About Us’ section dedicated not only to their child-centred, solutions-focussed ethos to family law, but also to their growing team.

The press page has been very well received by the team at Edward Cooke Family Law. Edward Cooke recently commented on our continued collaboration,:

“I first engaged Mzuri in March 2018 when I was setting up my business. I have now been using the firm for 3 years. They did a brilliant job on our website before we set up, which has been a real asset for us as a business – lots of people have commented positively on it. Once we had got the business established, we started using Mzuri on a monthly retainer to help manage our monthly content plan. This has been very helpful indeed in terms of keeping us focused on our ongoing marketing goals.”

We wish the team at Edward Cooke Family Law every bit of very well-deserved continued success.
